The new AT280W eflare is ideal for mounting on the kayak using the aviation base which has multiple teeth gripping the base ensuring the eflare stays where it should. The hi-intensity eflare can be set as a constant white light or for increased visibility turned to flash emitting a hi-intensity white flashing light visible across flat water for a 1000 metres.
The pliable rubber base can be bonded to the deck of the kayak or you could affix the base using a mounting plate and bolts. The eflare is quickly and easily removed from the aviation base when not in use and you only need to twist the cover of the eflare to turn the light on to the required setting. With a minimum run time of 20 hours you will have plenty of safe and enjoyable evenings knowing that you will be seen if out on dusk or after dark.
The low profile of the eflare coupled with the minimal weight will have no bearing on your centre of gravity even if offset from the midline of the deck. Mount the light behind you to ensure your night vision is not impacted.
